you can be sure of one thing.. If they test him for steroids after the season
-280/+240 he will test positive. where did this kid come from? no one's ever heard of him before this year and he was not even an avg player, and now he's got over 50 hrs. yeah right..

im in toronto and this story is not being highlighted at all... it also doesn't help that rogers (cable company and owner of the jays) has taken the jays games off regular cable and put the games on a high channel that is exclusive to digital cable subscribers...so a whole bunch of people that used to watch them cant anymore unless they want to pay for it. That combined with raising ticket prices (up 20% from last year on the cheap seats) no one gives two shits about the them.... baseball is probably number 4 or 5 in the list of what people care about in toronto... the list goes leafs, raps, tfc, rock, jays, argo's

I don't know about that list. With projections, I doubt the Raptors have much of a following this year.
Leafs
Raptors
Jays
Toronto FC
Marlies
Argonauts
Rock

here in order......is the montreal list out of 500 teams in all of sports that we love the most..
In all fairness, it's a Thursday game that started at noon... but yea, baseball and Toronto don't mix so well... if Selig ever put us in a normal division, maybe this above average team would actually play some meaningful games

Is he a free agent after this year? It's amazing how many athletes put up huge numbers going into free agency....

Are you referring to Jose when you say "minus speed, defensive ability, patience at the plate" ????

He has one of the best eyes at the plate I have seen in a long time. he can sit on the pitches all day long and wait for the good ones then ding 'em. that and the adjustments off-season with the hitting coach has given him his 50. Also, EVERY SINGLE TIME he throws from right field to second, it's a dead strike. This guy has no idea what he's talking about...but he's from montreal so its expected.

no one had a better eye at the plate than barry bonds.. he also had a great arm and accurate.. and we all that at that time, no way he can be on the juice.. so what's your point? you don't know what you are talking about man..

Guys I really don't think he is juicing. It would be stupid to juice in today's game especially when you already have a cemented spot in the starting lineup. Like I posted before. He credits his great year to his hitting coach who he says has his timing down better than it has been in his whole career.

Has Jose increased dramatically in body size? No.
Has he been tested numerous times this season? YES.
The guy is not juicing.

He's swinging the bat really hard at every single pitch. This guy leads the majors in extra base hits even though he only has a .265 average. He also has excellent plate coverage, so pitchers can't pitch him outside and if they come inside he turns on the ball.

laws are different in canada, thus he can get some different shit. Maybe has a chemist working on masking agents. no other way its possible given his past performance. See Brady Anderson's 50+ hr season as evidence

Typical ignorant post like most of the people in this thread. Have you even watched this guy at the plate?
He's destroying the inside corner but he's not even a strong build type of guy.
He barely lets anything go by inside and they insist on pitching him there. People in the left field seats should be glad by taking so many baseballs home.
He also walks a lot. His OBP is REALLY good.

Toronto franchises are a joke...nobody likes to play up there, and when they're contract expires they all head down south anyway.
