The Giants, who play their final nine games against division foes, won three of four at home over the Cubs from Aug. 9-12, but have dropped five of seven at Wrigley.

He walked three batters in Wednesday's 7-3 victory in St. Louis while giving up two runs and four hits over six innings. Zambrano is 5-1 with a 2.92 ERA in nine career starts against the Giants but might have to outduel Cain, who is 5-2 with a 2.61 ERA in his nine matchups with the Cubs. He did not get a decision in an 8-7 win Aug. 12 against Chicago despite tying a season high with nine strikeouts. What it might take to win in Chicago is getting to Zambrano (9-6, 3.75 ERA), who is 6-0 with a 1.59 ERA in eight starts since coming back from anger management counseling for a dugout argument June 25. He has an ERA of 2.38 at Wrigley Feild this year. The Cubs have nothing to play for but teams love to be a spoiler this time of the season we there is no incentive left for a play-offs spot.
