    Giants @ Cubs
Fellas I would like to hear opinions about this game.

I like Giants here, though Cubs is on fire having won 8 of last 9 games. Batters are on fire, they swept Cards and Marlins but after these trips they are home now. I doubt they will make it 7 consecutive wins and Cubs is doing better on the road than at home.

Giants is 7-2 in last 9 away games but Cubs' Zambrano is 7-2 in his last 9 starts against San Francisco.

    What do you think?

          Value is in Giants/Cain

Matt Cain is a bargain here at -1.13.

Cain is on his game - a stone cold pro - at his best when it matters - the exact opposite of Zambrano.

Bochy is heady - his hitters will have a good approach to Zambrano. They will not be wailing away early in the count and giving away ABs tonight. They will be working the count against Z. Z has great stuff - but also some control problems. His K/BB is well short of 2. They will try to mess with his weak mind. Also - Soto will not be catching Z tonight. He already has his excuse to lose.

Cubs will also be without Ty Colvin.

It's all Giants for me here.

The Giants need to win this series. They need to go to Colorado with swagger. I'm sure Bochy is preaching that they cannot look past the Cubs. The Brewers reminded the Giants that sub-500 teams cannot be taken for granted. The Giants will be feeling that they must take advantage of Cain on the hill for the opening game of the series. Can't lose to the Cubs with Cain up. l'm thinking the Cubs might relax and go soft now at home after the strong road trip. The Giants' bats woke up a bit in the last game against the Brewers. They should be feeling good at the plate; maybe they won't swing at garbage, and maybe they rattle Zambrano early. I see Zambrano trashing the dugout -- if he still cares enough to do it -- by the fifth inning. I like the Giants alot in this spot.

Zambrano has been great since coming back from "Anger Managment" and is playing for a trade... Giants have something to prove... I wouldn't touch this one, unless you think Z is going to melt which I don't think he does.

Cubs have looked really damn good under Quade.

Possibly the under is in play, maybe under FF.

Vegas set a pretty tight line on this one. I think this game is a pickem which means it's Cubs or nothing. Both pitchers have excellent numbers against the opposition. Cubs have home field and is in better form. Giants have "more to play for" but is feast or famine on offense (which being a favorite risky to take). Cubs lost Soto for the year (fairly productive hitter with power). Renteria have the best numbers against Big Z but he's questionable.

Hard to pick a side IMO. If anything, I'd look at the under.
