Need an explanation - baseball is weird
This is my first season betting baseball and I don't really understand how this happens:

One day the Twins demolish, the next they are a no show.
Same for the Phillies, Padres, Rays, Reds ... all teams that need wins vs teams that have no shot in hell.
And don't tell me pitchers because the math-ups weren't that big.

I'd better keep betting on soccer and basketball or any other sport where favorite teams win 90% of the time like Barça and chelsea in soccer games etc...

If you keep looking for answers when there aren't any, you'll drive yourself nuts. Let it go. This is how a tour pro shoots 66 one day and 75 the next. Some days everything falls into place and some days nothing does. That's life.

At what lines? -800? -1000? Did Barca not lose to Hercules as a -1200 favorite?

its because baseball is a ******* grinding sports - guys play everyday for 5 months, its brutal and exahusting, the game requires a constant mental focus which is hard to replicate day-after day after day after day.

The difference between being 0-3 and 2-3 is so fine, but makes such a huge difference.

Yeah you just have to remember that the best teams in baseball still lose 60-70 games a year. I mean look at the winning percentages of the teams that are going to make the playoffs. They are around .560-.600 range.
