can't see how you cannot take the twins here. are the oddsmakers completely forgetting about baseball and the volume of betting is just down because of football? oakland can win yes but how can you back them at only +110 here? it must be some type of scheduling thing or spot because it is ridiculous.Comment -

Trust me, I bet him against TX, Red Sox, and some other team that he burnt my money with.
Blackburn has been pitching great, since coming back from the minors. Minny is the much better team also, though this could be a letdown spot.Comment -

blackburn has been terrible vs oakland and anderson has been very solid no doubt. it still doesn't make sense here to take oakland (at ONLY +110) vs a team that is 12-2 in september, dominant at home, has a pitcher who is as good as it gets with current numbers AND a great home pitcher, needing wins more, great vs lefties and great vs lefties at home (even better), and so on. this is either free money or a massive trap. there is maybe 1 case to back the a's and 10 for the twins.Comment -
Minny is the play here...MINNY on a 5 game winning streak, MINNY OWNS OAK this year 5 games to 1, MINNY in the race, amazing at home, amazing lately, Bats on fire, OAK lost last two against a sorry KC team, and BARELY won the first one, Anderson good but is hittable...he was hit well by TEXAS on the road as well as by Wsox on the road...BLackburn been FIRE since coming back...PERIOD

there has to be a stat for a team coming home of a division road sweep (and road trip) because if there is no bullshit stat like that or some other one this is the biggest joke of a line i have seen in a long time. minny doesn't need the game i guess so no pressure coming home here and banging your girls after the trip.Comment -
Not sure about the stat you are talking about...but I do believe this is a let-down game for Minnesota. They just came off a huge series against ChiSox...very emotionally draining, if you will. They could come home and just not show up for game 1 against Oakland. This just happened last night for the Padres. They come off of a huge series against the Rockies where they go 2-1...travel to St.Louis to play the pathetic Cards who had just gotten swept by the Cubbies and what do they do? Drop game 1. Sometimes baseball works like that.
Aside from all that though, I just can't see Minnesota losing. They are soooo good at home.Comment -
Definitely would play MIN here if I had to pick a side.
Couple of reasons for the line where it is:
1.) and this huge ; Vegas linesmakers love Brett Anderson always have in his brief career they expect him to be a stud.
he is and was a better prospect than Cahill or Gonzalez both of whom hav-e pitched great this year.
2.) MIN has now wrapped things up this really is a letdown spot for them to go in with a relaxed attitude.
Those two points taking into account, I still like MIN here being so hot with the bats and at home plus OAK in the middle of a road trip and haven' played well.
No play for me just cause I am only playing a couple tonight but would definitely side with MIN over OAK.Comment
