Even when Hughes pitches a gem, he still fcks it up with the long ball. However, Giradi should of had the pen ready to go once the 7th came around. Even after Hughes got Crawford and Longoria out, he should of never faced Dan fcking Johnson for a second time. Even if he is a scrub, he's the go ahead run and he hit a bomb off Hughes his last at-bat. Makes no sense to pitch to him again. Whatever, under the bridge, on to the next...

Not to worry folks. I have a little more time to post plays now, so I'll post them in my regular thread. Also, I'm going to be starting up a football thread this weekend. Feel free to drop by.

As far as the Gekko Gift's are concerned, I don't send these out often as they're pretty big plays (trust me I don't like losing 4-5 dimes on anything); and I don't want people getting carried away if they are going to tail. If you've tailed my GG's, you'll notice that EVERY game that I've capped, and lost, came down to some wacky decision by a manager (GG#9 Giradi leaving Hughes in too long, or GG#8 Madden not bringing in Soriano...funny how this played out in BOTH of these games) or basically a highly statistical improbability. Never in any of these losses was the game a blowout in the opposing teams/wagers favor. If anything, we had the win and the team blows it.

Anyway, I'll probably have some more GG's before MLB is over, but I'll definitely have some for football.

Speaking of football, I want all the "Wall Street" movie goers to name my football thread. Whoever brings up the best quote from the movie, that's what I'll name the thread. So far I have..."Gekko's Greed is Good FB picks" Suggestions...

I could seriously see this game going either way, and down to the wire. I like Potts in this spot because he's the more experienced of the two QBs (plus they're Lubbock). However, is this the game where Gilbert makes his statement as to why he was the #1 QB recruit last year? So goes Gilbert, so goes the Horns. Line movement (it's been everywhere from UT -7.5 to -3 currently, showing -5 at the Wynn...I need to check into this ASAP!) would indicate a close shootout. I would love to get around 4-5pts on Tech here, as I feel if UT wins they're going to win by that 3-5pt margin. Let me look into it a little more
