So, while everyone else is focused on Monday night football projections I'm going to take a little time to give you guys my input on MLB. Why? Simple. Supply and Demand, lets be real here, as the NFL/NCAA season is underway the MLB lines will be less popular, thus the books will make the lines a bit more attractive. Now, I am a all sport capper, and yes, I have given my NFL write up (On the NFL Forum) But yes, lets talk bases...
Boston Red Sox @ Seattle - Boston - Lester -178
Although Lester has struggled in general, and has had some problems against his hometown team Fister has not won back back to back since early April. He had a good showing against Oakland last outing, but he is inconsistent. I also question the amount of run support Seattle is about to provide. Given the circumstances Boston has already struggled with Oakland, but I say they pick up a few games here to see if they're able to push for the play off picture that probably isn't going to happen. In this matchup I'll take the better team, and I think the better team is definitely Boston. 1 Unit on this play. I would say it's soft but I like my chances here
NYY/Tampa Bay Over 7.5
Look at the pitching for this game, stellar right? Yes, But this game is going to have playoff implications, with a playoff atmosphere. I say its going tot get to be close, and I don't mean someone is going to get shut out. I honestly believe that New York is going to fall behind early, maybe 0-2 in the first three innings, and then will ralley. I see this score being 5-4 New york, rallying in late innings. Both teams have hitters and CC Sabathia has some work to do after his last outing and being a -380 favorite...
Chic @ St Louis - St Louis (Garcia Must Start)
Chicago sucks fat balls, and St Louis hasn't looked as good as we would have hoped, but they are going to take this game. Chicago has lacked in the offense department and not great on the road. Albert Pujiols hit two homers in one freaking game. Garcia, who is 6-3 with a 1.65 ERA at home, will make his first start against the Cubs. He pitched an inning of relief against them in 2008. Yeah, take the Cards.
