have mustered 1 run over the first 2 games against the lowly AAA Pirates against AAA starting pitchers with a combined ERA over 6+. We are talking 1 run people. The Braves lack the grit and experience to win down the stretch. The Braves have no playoff experience other than Brian Mcann and that was 5 yrs ago and he was 21yrs old at the time and it was just 1 season. In September it's almost like the playoffs when you are in a division battle. I can't think of any other contenders that would have traveled to Pittsburgh and got 1 run in two games. That is just a lack of fight and grit. I think the Braves have shot there wad and are endangered of not even making the wild card with Coloraldo and San Fran hitting there stride down the stretch. I look for Colo to make there strong push again and it's already underway. Colo over the last few yrs has found ways to win down the stretch. You can't look at who's pitching or the matchup..just back them. The opposite for the Braves..Just fade them. Derek Lowe is putting his 9-0 perfect career record against lowly Pirates on the line today. Lowe has been shit as usual and even if he pitches well Atlanta will still need to score. Zack Duke is going for the Pirates today. The Braves have either been boom or bust against Duke over the last 5 starts against Atlanta. His last start Atlanta got the best against him. If Burres and Mcdonald can stick up the Braves ass I have no reason to believe Duke can't also.
