Phillies take over 1st place

I am not exactly the biggest Phillies fans---but damn. For a team that had injuries to Utley, Howard, Polanco, Victorino, Moyer, Lidge------they just don't quit.

That three man rotation of theirs---Halladay/Oswalt/Hamels----is going to be awfully tough to beat if they get some run support.

Phillies always, at least in the past few yrs seem to play very well this time of the year. They beat out the Mets a couple of years ago and then came back again !!

Once the phillies got to full strength, there is no team nearly as good in the nl and this is coming from a die hard mets fan

It was only a matter of time, but I wouldn't count out the Braves yet. The Phils have proven to be inconsistent, and with 6 games between the Phils and Braves it should go down to the very end.
