This argument always makes me lol. The odds are the way they are because detroit is playing at home and verlander is pitching.

I would say that the Oddsmaker do give to much respect to the facts stated above and not enough to the ones below:

1)The whitesox are playing great baseball
2)Verlander in general is not pitching great against the sox (5-9 career)
3)Garcia is 18-6 career against Detroit
4)Detroit is not battleling for a playoff spot
