couple of starts? I've been tailing his <1 ERA over the last 7 starts, and have sadly only won less than half... I mean he is fn gold... he's allowed Earned 6 runs in 7 games... But gets ZERO run support... In fact, you'd think unders are a lock... 3 of the last 5 have gone over becuase of a shiety pen...

I'm just disappointed that Bud 'Cardinals Killer' Norris isn't pitching in this series. Love to play him +200 or more against St. Louis.

Carpenter is experienced enough to overcome Wandy in this spot

Cards have joined a list I have of teams I cannot play to win or lose. They will do the opposite of what I need EVERY TIME!!!!! My no play list now includes Giants, Padres, Angels and Phillies in addition now the Cards. No use fighting it. These 5 teams have gutted my bankroll no matter which way I play them. No use fighting the bad karma these teams produce for me.

True line is probably close to -110 both ways. 50/50 games because at this point Cards suck on the road, in terrible form, and faced dissapointment in MANY "must win" situations of late while coming up short (Pirates won series, Nationals won series, Astros winning series). Carpenter is a better pitcher than Wandy, but not by much now since Wandy is in good form. Stros are also in good form, with a nice record since the all star break. The line opened at +150 or so based solely on "must win" situation and Carpenter reputation. Remeber that Weinghright and Carpenter have disappointed Cards backers often this season (especially lately). 1 months ago the line would have been -220 or so in favor of the Cards.

line opened at -170 on cards, unless vegas is giving money away i like the cards for no reason other than that, if you look at the game the right way the shmoes are the play without question. i am staying away but the spot is terrible for dandy wandy. make note history shows dandy wandy sucks astroturf in august and september.

I'm not MLB expert but I've learned a new appreciation for pitchers. I think they get worked like dogs and chucked out-my impression, every sport has a relatively short shelf life though. Cheers

Over the last 3 years Wandy has made 13 starts at home during aug/sept, he allowed more than 2 runs in just 2 of those.

if the cards lose this game with their "best" pitcher and stopper so to speak it doesn't look good for them going forward. i think carpet bagger does enough for them to win here and start to roll a bit.
