Because he was relief pitcher, Brian Duensing has only 2 starts at home so far and is 2-0 with a complete game shutout. Duensing lost his prevous start to the rangers 4-3. IF you are considering taking the twins on the runline, you should consider taking the twins on the 5 inning runline. This game really matters for the twins as they try to increase their 4 game lead over 2nd place whitesox. The twins have only score one single run in each of their last 2 games. On monday I was 3-2 on 5 inning plays. I won on the braves -1/2, rangers -1/2, padres/dbacks over 5.5 runs. I took the A's ML 5 innings and took the angels/mariners over 3.5 (5 innings). I made a horrible mistake of taking the A's as the A's have covered two straight on the 5 inning runline. I never should have taken them. I just bad luck on the angels/mariners over 3.5 runs (5 innings). Game was scoreless after 5 innings and the angels scored 4 runs in the 6th inning. Angels just could not do in the fifth inning.

I was looking at galaraga's first five inning numbers (wins and losses), Galaraga has won 3 straight at the 5 inning mark. Galaraga also won 3 in a row (5th inning) in 2009 when the tigers were a better team becasue they were healthy. Galaraga does not pitch well in minnesota and that will not change. Minnesota has a much better pitcher in Deunsing. Way Deusing pitches, the twins may need only one run but they will get much more than one run by the 5th inning. Tigers are about to give up on the postseason and after this series they will. Good luck for following my reasoning.

Tigers starting pitchers (other than the Figaro spot-start on Saturday) have been terrific lately. Twins are tempting tho -- not gonna lie.

Tigers are still terrible on the road 22-41 overall. THe tigers have won the first game of a 3 or 4 game series four times in a row. They won the first game of a series against yankees, indians, royals and blujays. Lets not forget that Galaraga has great numbers only against the lowly indians. He almost pitched a perfect game against the indians. The twins are goin to cover 5 inning runline (-1/2) at -125 and cover the game runline -1.5 (+105) and the game is goin over 8.5 runs (-105).

-Niemann pitched a two shutout last time against the jays. Niemann has 12 starts at home is 5-2 with 2.85 era. Romero, a lefty, has very good numbers against the rays (3 starts, 1-1 with 2.57 era over 21 innings). Rays are terrible against quality left handers. Both Niemann and Romero are coming off tough outings in their last starts. Rays led 5-2 after 5 innings so it was definite over after 5 innings.
