You need hitters first. Who is going to score? Is it Howard? He has struck out like the last 7 of 9 times at bat. Chase hasn't been much better. Werth tho hit one out last night just stands up there and lets fast ball after fast ball go right past him. After Raul's hitting streak was snapped he hasn't been great. Like I stated in the other thread only way this goes over if the stros blow up Kendrick and the pen. (which is possible) The only thing about the Phils that they have going is their defense. I like the under here.

The number is 8.5.. During their last 10 games the Phils are averaging 4 runs a game.. The stros are averaging 3 runs a game.. If your going to tell me that with both team's worst pitchers out there during a day game in one of the best hitter's parks that they can't score 9 runs I'm going to refuse it.. I understand both teams have been struggling to hit but this situation unlike any other over their last 10 game's is the situation to come out and hit.. The last time a stros game went over? Wandy was pitching on the road.. The last Phils game to go over? Guess who was pitching at home.. It's risky either way but you can't ignore the fact that these pitchers give up batting practice on a regular basis

ditto. its a rarity in MLB for a home team to be swept in a 4 game series. The Phils have managed just 2 runs per game in this series. Wandy may get blown up today early. Will wait on the lineups to see whos in and whos out.

I am backing the Over. This Kendrick kid was on the verge of being demoted a while back and his stuff isn't that good! Houston has some young enthusiastic bats in their lineup and figure they will plate at least 5-6 runs today in a great hitters park. They just faced Doc, it's get away day and the world is right today for the Houston bats! The Phils still come to each inning knowing that they can get 4 before the other team knows what happened, Howard is going to have a monster day and Wandy will wonder how his fastball is looking like a beach ball to Philly. I say this game has the making of a 9-7 outcome. I can't back a side but will back the total and my bet is OVER 8.5 runs...................by the 5th inning!!

Is "a great hitters park" the main reason for today's over? It seems to becoming up alot You do know that most likely both teams will need to contribute to hit this total right? I hope this "great hitters park" will help the ground balls go over the wall. Maybe the blast of air from Werths strikeout will send it over the right field fence?
