    Cardinal Rule #1
Whenever one has a wager on a game, NEVER declare it a winner before it is final.
Is it just me, or do more and more people on here post crap on here that ends up jinxing a game?
I learned a long time ago with sports betting that you never count your chickens before they hatch.

LOL....I don't count any game a winner until I see the word FINAL. Only rookie celebrates before the game ends.

Has anyone ever gotten an infraction for posting an outside link? I see people do that on here all the time.
I posted one the other day to help out another poster and I got an infraction. I am guilty, because I didn't realize that you weren't allowed to do so. I'm just a little curious as to whether others have received one also.

It happens more times than not. If the visiting team is winning 5-1 in the bottom of the ninth and I have $ on them, I seem to lose this bet when I declare it to be a winner too soon. Just my personal experience. As crazy as this seems, it happens more times than not. I quit declaring a game to be a winner too soon. Hope you never experience this craziness.

I doubt it happens more than not. You just remember those sick losses more than the forgotten wins that hold.

Two words that I try to avoid are: always and never.
When used, they tend to backfire in the worst way.
For example, Michigan will never lose to a D1AA school in football.
Another one is...well you get the idea.

Nice one I have yet to meet a sports bettor who isn't. Superstition runs rampant when it comes to betting.

I'm at the track with my buddy. My horse is in front by four and appears to be going on to victory. My buddy says "Nice pick. YOU GOT IT". Horse breaks a leg and throws the jockey seconds later. Never ever say you have it till its official and in the books. Its B.L.
