This post reminds me of a degenerate trying to "manage his money" after going broke many times before. What effective money management system is going to allow you to turn $200 into $5,000 in four weeks on a consistent basis?

I especially love the part where he says: "making 200 into 5000 in a month isn't slow at all but i think that is about a good pace."

I certainly have my own management style and it sure isn't same as the others'...
One of the reason i made a lot of profit was because of money management problem and now i am playing around with the profit that i have made. What I would do is bet 50 % of my bankroll everyday on my POD plays. I was able to make a lot of money through that in my winning streak. I think this was a big step for me to start off with 200 bankroll. If I lose like the most people, i will gladly walk away from it, however if i do get the chance to win 5000 that would be the best project i have ever done in a while.

the TAMPA BAY play, just look at it, the situational play here...TB still out west used to the time differential...LAA coming back home after some losses and tough games for the bull pen...TB bullpen fully rested and healthy and they are playing REALLY REALLY well...LAA bats stone cold last night...

coming home is not easy..im sure they take game 2 or 3 though...

This advice may or may not be helpful to you, but it has helped me out tremendously and might do the same for you.

1) Don't chase any bets. I would constantly make 2-4 bets, and even if i hit 2 or 3, or missed 3, I would start chasing bets and making uninformed bets in later games to either up the cashing or chase to catch up. Recently I've just been capping all my games properly and then leaving it alone all night. I won't make another play after the first pitch is made in the first game.

2) Play less games, I've limited the amount of games I've played and it has helped. I also cut out totals and props for now.

3) Leave parlays for very rare scenarios. Unless you are super confident on two, MAYBE 3 plays, parlay losses often just eat up your BR.

These are all great Tips. I would also suggest to limit the amount of teams in a parlay(s) if you create them. i.e. 2-3 teams max. 2 preferably..

A quick reminder as far as parlays are concerned, so you can try to play your parlays "smart" is the following:

Understand how parlays are paid out. If you recognize value is very important in betting bases then you can appreciate the fact that you lose tremendous value when betting on bigger and bigger parlays.

Lets first look at how they are paid:

A parlay is paid in a consecutive manner. So if you bet 100 on a parlay with two teams AT EVEN MONEY you get paid like this:

100 * 2 = 200 * 2 = 400 -100 invested = 300 NET

So the parlay for a two teamer pays 3:1, and for a 3 teamer pays:

100*2 = 200*2 = 400*2 = 800-100 invested = 700 NET

So one thing to look at is that if you have a parlay with an early game and a late game you can get paid the exact same by putting your 100 in for the 7 pm game...if you win it, you put all the winnings plus the 100 invested into the late game and it pays the same as the parlay..

this is important to know because perhaps at some point you wanna cancel your parlay or you find out extra info and wanna change your bet...

The other thing i mentioned was value. Why is a 2 team parlay the best value? because compared to the odds you get paid the best.

You get paid 3:1, so you must pretty much have 33% winning odds (at even money)
So what if you pick 2 teams that you are about 75% sure they will win...your chances of winning BOTH are

.75 *.75 = 56.25%

So you have a good parlay to play...

so what happens if you have 3 plays at 75% sure you win them:

.75*.75*.75 =42% chances of hitting the parlay.

a 3 teamer pays 7:1 so its 14% odds of winning the parlay...

It sounds easy when doing it all at even money, but once you start having regular lines at -110, or faves at -120, or -150, it drastically decreases the value in your parlay because you get paid ALOT less..

Last thing to think of...if you have 4 teams you wanna play, think of splitting it into 2 2-team parlays...if you hit one of them you still get paid, and well...while playin the 4 teamer decreases your chances DRAMATICALLY of hitting the parlay, mathematically that is!

If i messed up any numbers correct me..just my thoughts on parlays...if i parlay anything, its usually dogs, and no more than 2 on any serious parlay...unless its an insurance parlay which i use days i play 3 big plays and do one parlay opposite to my 3 plays in case i go 0-3 for the day...

It seems like 200 dollar bankroll is too small for me for some reason..
I dont feel the thrill that i used to feel when i used to bet around 200-300 per game.
I did definitely better back then because those were larger sample sizes....
Todays will be hit or miss. however i feel good for all these plays.
No disrespect for you jorge for explaining this parlay system and how the odds are bad but today i am gonna pull the trigger.
