    1 play a day for 7 days
Okay guys, here is the deal:

After a winning July (up 5000 pesos from 90), i started plateauying here in August. Ive been spending alot of time tailin, cappin, etc. and was not making it, so two days ago i decided to take a short leave from the game. During this vacay until next monday I will review the card and post a write up on one lay per day. I wont be playin it, but you guys can at least enjoy the write up...here it goes. Pts are welcome!

    TAMPA BAY -127 @ Oakland +117

Coming to the end of the 4 game series, OAK took the first two with CAHILL and MAZARRO on the mound, and TB took yesterdays game, with Anderson on the mound. Today its GARZA vs BRADEN. Garza has been LIGHTS OUT, with 8 wins last 13 games. The most amazing thing of his record is the fact that his last 4 loses came by a run differential of 1. He has been an extremely tough competitor, and TB bats well when he comes up to the mound. He usually pitches a good 7 to 8 innings, and will be doing so today as well.

BRADEN has racked up a decent amount of winnings the last couple having won 5 of last 6 games, however had a 9 game losing streak back in may and june. The past is the past, but He has not faced a GARZA calliber pitcher as of late. C LEE handed him his loss three games ago, and garza will do the same here today.

looking at both records, the teams have been competitive and succesfull at obtaining Ws lately. TB's only two loses the last 8 games came in this series and by a run differential of 1 each game, so they have been no push over the last 8 games. OAK has also been good with a 4 game winning streak before yesterday's loss.

The better team takes this one to split the series.

    TB -127

1 play/day is a very good approach. Selectivity is the key. Winning 7 days in a row by playing 1 pick/day is easier then going 7-0 in a single day. GL!

                TAMPA BAY -135 @ LAA +125

I dont mean to chase the Rays here but this is mostly a situational play - Here TB is still in the west coast while LAA is coming back home after long east coast road trip to Boston and then MINNESOTA. In Boston they lost 2 of 3 and dropped the first game against Minny, with 3rd game being played right now.

TB has won 7 of last 9 games and lost the two games by a one run differential, so definitely competing here! Shields comes to the mound having won 4 of the last 6 games, and on 5 days rest. The main strength i like for TB coming into this game is the BULLPEN. It is well rested having only pitched 1.1 innings today against OAK, and 3 innings on saturday.

Meanwhile LAA bullpen got worked 4.2 innings on saturday against MINNY, and today we are still live in game, so we will have to wait and see how the bullpen fares, but knowing Minny, LAA Bullpen will probably take a hit today as well and be pretty tired coming out west back home.

I have a feeling the line will move in LAA favor by tomorrow morning so i would definetely wait until at least the end of tonight's game. If LAA wins, i would expect a better line for us TB backers tomorrow soi would wait until late tomorrow, however, if LAA loses and bullpen gets worked, I expect the line to rise for TB so i would catch it early this evening.

                TB -135
( PENDING A BETTER PRICE, I WILL WAIT UNTIL POST LAA GAME TONIGHT TO POST UP Wether to take it right away or wait until tomorrow)

HOUSTON / PHILADELPHIA UNDER 8 (-118 PENDING PRICE UNTIL LAST MINUTE..I THINK IT WILL GET BETTER)

I looked at this game for hours..here is what i got.

Houston takes the first game in a four game series against PHillies in FILA.

Today HOuston sends up CHUCK NORRIS (i mean BUD) to face HOLE CAMELS (i mean COLE H).

NORRIS is on a 5 game winning streak, and has only allowed 4, 4, 2, 2 runs in his four winning games this august. Bud has a 3.48 ERA, pitched an average of 6.73 innings, surrendered only 14 hits, 8 runs, has an impressive 21 Ks, only 5 BB, and 3 HR the last 3 GAMES.

COLE is on a 3 game losing streak, however, has not been pitchin as bad as his record might indicate. His last 3 games here are his numbers: 3.15ERA, 20 IP, 18 HITS, 7 runs, 24 STRIKE OUTS ( ) and only 3 BB, and 2 HR.

HOUSTON as a team has hit an average of 2.25 runs in the last 8 games. Last time they had over 4 runs in a game was to PIT on the 15th. Their game totals last 10 have been as follows: 5, 10, 4, 7, 5, 5, 9, 9, 3, 5. = average of 6.2 runs per game. Their last 5 games the are hittin .200 avg, .2 HR, .6 BB, and 1.6 K versus lefties.

PHILLIES as a team have only batted in 2.4 runs per game their last 5 games. These games have averaged 5 runs per game total. Phillies are hittin .227 avg, .4 HR, 1.8 BB, and 4.2 K their last 5 against right handers.

I definetely wanted to put my hopes on BUD, however, I dont see Houston hitting here AT ALL, as they have struggled lately. I see BUD coming out with a great performance, however, i dont see the batting back up. Instead of backing the STROS here i rather take the more obvious UNDER 8. Phillies are going to start meshing here soon with everyone coming off that DL list, but i dont think they are going to blow up yet. They might bat in 4 or 5 runs max, but i dont see houston scoring above 2 to 3 runs max here. I would gladly take the HOUSTON TT UNDER here if it was 3.5 or above...but that 3 it is set at will probably push, so ill gladly take the U8 here.

I hate to take a total here, but i feel i got a pretty good handle on this game...unless PHI comes out with some crazy surprise batting, total goes UNDER.

                                  1 play for tuesday: PHI /HOU UNDER 8 (-118)

Phillies ML or RL is a better option IMO. Phillies are going to score big...Norris pitched career high 123 pitches last outing. Norris will give up lot of runs tonight.

I am on a little week "leave" jsut cappin one game a day, but jsut to mess around i took HOU RRL for +450 odds and it looks like it wsnt all that bad...might get one more run here in the 9th...

Phillies in my opinion dont suck, they just werent healthy and are gonna be getting in the groove...watch by next week...ill probably wait for one good solid game and start tailin the RL for like 5 games...theyll go on a crazy streak, just watch...

Barring a bottom 9 explosion, your call is looking good, and I agree with the Philly bats going on a tear in the near future. Not tonight though.

                                                            SFO -112 / CIN +102

SFO heads into the third game of the series against Cincinnati Reds having won yesterday (monday) and currently spankin them 13-5.

SFO bats started to wake up back in Philly during their recent road trip beating PHI 5-2. They opened at STL the very next game firing and beating the cards 6-3. Cards stellar pitching nearly shut them out the next two games (carpenter & Garcia), but this is no surprise considering they are amongst the best in the league. Coming back home i expected SFO to be slow in their first game against CINCY, however they went on to take Volquez on an 11 run ride, and are following it up with a double digits run tonight against WOOD.

SFO pitching features BUMGARNER tomorrow on the mound to face BAILEY. BUmgarner is currently on a 3-game winning streak this month, shutting down CHC, SD, and @ STL. His last 3 he has dealt a 3.20 ERA, over 19.2 innings (over 6.5 innings per outing) 26 hits, 7 runs, 10 Strike outs, 5 BB, and 1 HR. Giants Bullpen is well rested in comparison to that of CINCY's.

CINCINNATI sends up BAILEY to the mound to try to continue his winning streak. But to whom did he pitch to earn his two wins coming out from the minors? to a sorry florida team, and a worse LA team. He is pitchin 2.35 ERA, 11 SO, 3 BB, and 0 HR allowed, so he is something.

Im going with the momentum SFO has coming into this game with two big big wins over a decaying CINCY team...although Bailey isnt a push over, he isnt a stallion either. I feel much better gettin BUMGARNER with hot bats to back him AT HOME against a pitcher recently called back from the minors...

many angles to this game, but i look to be 4-0 by the end of the afternoon tomorrow...might even get another evening game in there to keep the momentum going...

love the card, and this is the best value out there...catch it while its cheap.

                                                            SFO -112
