If the score in tonight's game holds up, currently 4-2 Oakland in the top of the seventh, it'll set the stage for the A's to possibly complete the four-game sweep against one of the best road teams in Tampa Bay, a club that came into the series on Thursday with a road record of 35-22. Dallas Braden (8-8) is scheduled to pitch against TB's Matt Garza (12-7) in the final game of the series tomorrow.

I didn't declare anything so I'm not sure where or how you came across that statement limitation.
I assumed that if the score (4-2) held up last night, they (Oakland) would be in a position to sweep the four-game series later today.
However with TB's comeback win, we don't have to think about that now, will we?
