Nat's @ Phillies 8/20 Friday

Nationals - J.Marquis ML +325
Philies- Halladay ML - 360

i am not experienced in baseball, but im leaning on the Nats with that odds..
its the highest i've seen so far in MLB..
i really like the phillies and i know halladay is a great pitcher..
but with those odd you've got to look at the nationals..
Nationals won 6-2 against the braves which i believe is good team..
the Phillies on the other hand have been making some noise lately BUT lost 5-2 agains the giants..
so i can see the Nat's have a chance here..

what do you guys think???

i also like the over...i know halladay is the enemy here..but i'd still take a chance on the over

hmmm just saw that this marquis guy is 14.33 ERA..
the over has a good chance here..

I wouldn't even consider Nats with Marquis and his 0-5 in his last 5 and a 14.33 ERA
Halladay is 15-8 with a 2.24 ERA

However i DO agree with the over, it look great at 8

it still makes sense to me to bet on the nats..
its like a straddle..
If marquis stuggles and phillies win it will more likely be a blowout/slugfest..
if that doesnt happen, the nats have a little chance..

maybe ill take the nats @ 330 and the over 8 @ 105 before i sleep

I'm taking PHI on the RL but keep in mind Marquis' ERA is skewed because it's based on 16 innings pitched. Cheers

Good point. Small play on the Nats and something bigger on the over to cover both bets I presume?

i understand how you see value in the nats at that price, but i cant actually see them getting up in this game

i would take the over and hope halladay gives up a few himself, and the phillies score the majority of hte runs

those great pitchers become human at times right? who knows..
i've seen a june 15 game of yanks and philies sabathia vs halladay and the score was 8-3..
and last time i have on the texas rangers with the lead i think 8th inning with Cliff Lee still pitching and D.Price out for their opponent..guess what Rangers lose..
i know Nats are a long shot here, but i feel like taking the chance..

phills are my squad and all that but id NEVER ever bet them at that price ....i might sprinkle some on the nats tho for theheck of it
