True. But i think both the Phillies and Braves are locks for the postseason. Its just who is going to win the division. The Reds and Cardinals are just gonna beat themselves up. And not both the Padres and Giants are going to continue to win. One of those teams will just completely fall off.

Having an easier schedule doesn't make a team better. I like the padres And giants over atl, Phil or st Louis. Let's pull this thread up in 3 weeks and see where are heading down the stretch.

Yeah I definitely agree with that, regardless of who wins, the East will be an exciting race.

No it doesn't make a team better. But it guarantees the team makes the playoffs and the starters are not worn out for the playoff run. The Braves have killed the Padres and Giants both at home and on the road. When they meet in the playoffs it will be a clean sweep.

                  Atlanta seems like a sleeper
I maybe can name 2 players on team.

Cards will not win as they are too inconsistent.

Philly will take atlanta and the cards should not be on this list

don't worry about me, atleast i don't persuade people to lose money like 3-4 other regular members

i still believe the yankees are the better team, but they aren't the "shoe in" winners like heaps of people make them out to be.

I agree JJ but they play like a team and play hard. I really think they win the NL Pennant!

You have it ass backwards sir. Atlanta has cleaned those West teams all year. You can't seriously think Pads,Giants are better the Atl,Phi,Stl

If atlanta gets Lee, the East is a done deal.

Seems like one of the best years in baseball in a long time. Lots of really good teams.

If the question is who are the top 5 teams now then teams like the Twins and Phillies shuld be in there for how well they have played the last month. No way with the Rangers, who would be luck to finish 4th in the AL East. They lose every big series they are in.

                              How about:

                              1. Yankees
                              2. Rays
                              3. Twins
                              4. Red Sox
                              5. Padres

with Atlanta and Philadelphia a notch behind
SF and Texas just below them.
