1) Cardinals are 0-8 in Wainwright's last 8 road starts vs. a team with a winning record
2) Cardinals never sweep a series!

I really like your Reds pick but Wainwright scares me out of it. Maybe thats why theres that much value on the Reds. A decent home team with a Arroyo on the mound getting +124 right now at Pinny. I guess its worth a play on it at least. Good luck on both yours picks Wil, Cheers!

I know Wainwright should scare anyone but there's no free money in this business. Dempster and the Cubs wouldn't scare anyone against Lincecum and the Giants but now the rest is history. I don't have the stats right away but the Reds are one of the best dog teams in the MLB. Like I hinted earlier, Cards + Wainwright are a bad road combination against teams with a winning record. Also note that the word "sweep" isn't in the Cardinals' vocabulary.

Great info! But I guess if we were to analyze the home/road splits for those numbers, the Reds would have edge. There are reasons why the Reds are 4-1 in Arroyo's L5 starts vs the Cards. This game looks like a toss up but the Reds have the circumstantial edge and that's enough for a plus-value play.
