Cardinals on monday?

What's there not to like here:

Positives:

1. Carpenter has been lights out recently
2. Cards have an extra day rest as their game was postponed today
3. Reds just swept the lowly Cubs on the road. Teams often have a let down their first game back from a road trip.
4. Pujols is on fire.
5. Leake allowed 6 ER and was pulled his last game and it was against the shitty Pirates
6. Carpenter's numbers against the Reds (won 8 consec. starts against them, 1.09 ERA)

Negatives:

1. Votto and Gomes' bats are hot right now.
2. Reds are home dogs in a divisional game (I believe this has a winning all-time record)

You would think after that terrible performance by Leake and with Carpenter on the hill as well, the Cardinals would be favored by more. If I were to lay anything on this game it would be the Reds +1.5. Good Luck

not that good of a bases capper, but Reds are my team. May take them for a little as a home dog in a big divisional game 1 of the series. Leake will want to bounce back from that shitty Pirates game where he let them get a 6 run lead. Id say its a 50/50 game, so why not take my team 7 enjoy the game. I wouldnt take +1.5 and give -odds though. They will either win or lose by 3

Very tough decision to bet against either of these teams currently. Very good series coming here. Reds should have a lot of motivation with the division lead and the Cardinals should be motivated to make up those games back. What a series we have.

Besides Oswalt no single pitcher doniates the Reds like Carpenter. For the Reds to have a chance Bruce and Stubbs can't be in the line up. They need to have Heisey and Dickerson play more.
