Yeah, it looked like Thome hit a home run that would have tied the game in the 9th but they called it a double. Didn't matter though, Casilla got a single to bring in the two runners to tie it.

Assuming the wall from the yellow line down to ground level is a straight, vertical plane, it is impossible for the ball to take that kind of carom if it hit below the yellow line. How four adults (the umpires) can look at replays of this and make the wrong call is just beyond comprehension. I'm not sure of the exact situation when this happened, but I was listening to one TV report that suggested this would have put Minnesota ahead in the top of the ninth instead of tying the game. That makes the difference in this call HUGE.
