The Reds are faves for a reason (Arroyo L3 .97 WHIP). Gorzelanny's numbers are going up (bothe ERAQ and WHIP) and the run support isn't there for the Cubs. Arroyo torched the Cubs in his last outing with a 12-zip score. The last time Gorzelanny pitched, the Reds hammered them 14-2. I am going with the Reds. Good Luck to all!

The Reds have never been able to hit lefties. Is Gorzo a lefty. That could be one reson the Cubs are favored. That lefty pirates pitcher the Reds faced in their loss is usually terrible but keeps the Reds in check.

People like to bet the Cubs. They are a big name nationally even though they suck. Just like they like to bet the Yankees and Red Sox. So this line isn't really surprising at all. And even if it was fishy, who cares? Takes the short odds on the Reds if you like them and be happy with it. The game is played on the field. A line doesn't determine the winner.

"Without question, the Cubs are the most-overvalued team in all of sports. In the last decade, if you were to bet $100 on the Cubs every game, you’d be down $16,276. They’ve posted a betting profit only twice in the last 10 seasons. Loveable or not, they are losers. Big ones." Ben Burns article on Covers. Very interesting...

There's a little more travel factor for Cincy here having been in Pitt Mon-Wed. Cubs slept in their beds with a day off so that has an influence here. All the Cubs guys got a little loving and are refreshed. Cubs bats woke up Wed also. Maybe that will carry over. I am picking the Cubs today.
