I think he will hang around until he gets the record. I think that matters to him. He needs a team though.

Yanks should be looking to replace Jeter....very tough to do with such a popular player, but he is in decline.

Posada and Rivera are also aging.

yep, even if he plays for the major league minimum, in whatever city is the worst 8 years from now. Even if he is just a PH type.

If he remains healthy for the rest of his career he will get there.

I don't think his hip will hold up, but playing DH should give him a few more good years.

I don't see him breaking the record if he continues to have minor injuries that keeps him from playing full seasons

YOU GUYS ARE MISSING THE POINT INSTEAD OF GUESSING HOW MANY HOMERUNS A-ROD WILL HIT LETS GUESS HOW MANY A-ROD WOULD HAVE HIT WITHOUT STEROIDS THESE ARE STEROID HOMERUNS AND DONT COUNT SO LETS NOT GIVE A-ROD OR ANY OTHER STEROID FREAK THE RECOGNITION THEY DONT DESERVE.

WITHOUT STEROIDS A-ROD WOULD HAVE BEEN LUCKY TO HIT 375 HOMERUNS IT WAS ALL ROIDS BOYS LOOK AT THE NUMBERS SINCE HE IS OFF STEROIDS THATS THE TELLING TRUTH.REMEMBER THE RUMORS THAT A-ROD MIGHT HAVE BEEN TAKING ROIDS ALL THE WAY BACK TO HIGHSCHOOL THIS GUY IS A FRAUD AND DOESNT HAVE HOMERUN POWER WITHOUT STEROIDS.

I HIT A HOMERUN/DOUBLE OFF HALL OF FAMER (JIM CORSI) IN HIGHSCHOOL AND I WASNT ON STEROIDS BEANTOWNJIM PLAYED THE GAME CLEAN

I'm pulling for big #5 of the St. Louis Cardinals, Albert Pujols, to take out both Bonds and A-roid in the career home runs chase.

                                Cmon Pujols did it too

all the great hitters who hit homeruns on a enourmous clip obviously took steroids or HGH

he will turn into ken caminiti first. and that should prevent him from hitting that many.

Anyone that thinks pujols didnt or doesnt still juice i have a bridge i want to sell you. There are plenty of things these guys can take that dont come up in the test. The olympics are the only ones that do the test that shows all PED's.

Way too long-term to bet this on post -up. It would have to be a credit wager.

I think he gets the 163 more in time, and he has 7+ years left, a nice 20+ a year pace gets him there.

His HR's are in decline, quite a few Yankees have more. He's doing fine in RBI's though....I think second in MLB.

He probably is a bigger threat to get the RBI actually !

He gets over 100 RBI every year, needs 504 more. That is easier than the HR title.

I say no. He's declining and without steroids, he's simply not a 40 homer guy anymore.
