Mets Braves Analysis - 8/2 Santana v. Hudson
Nobody is talking about the Braves vs. Mets tonight.

I'm a big fan of the Braves getting on track after a tough road series in Cinci. I think we might see a Braves sweep if the Mets fall back into their hitting slump. Yesterday's 14-1 loss to the D'Backs is a huge red flag.

Trends in Favor of the Braves -
ATL is 24-7 in their last 31 home games.
ATL is 38-15 in their last 53 games as a favorite.
NYM are 2-10 in their last 12 games as an underdog.
NYM are 6-15 in their last 21 overall.
NYM are 6-15 in their last 21 games on grass.

Santana gave up 7 runs in his last outing against the Cards. He's showing some signs of being overworked at 104.3 pitches per game logging 147.2 innings so far this year.

BOTTOM LINE: THE METS SUCK ON THE ROAD (20-33) ATL -137 3* @ 5Dimes

You mean ATL? He said he likes ATL. Why touts matter?

B/c touts are bums at picking winners, and when they are all in agreement, I gladly go the other way.

I thought you ment it that way but i wasn't sure. No way I can back Mets no matter what the touts say. The Mets are actually worse than Atl and I am not sure they are pitching the best pitcher tonite. The Braves bullpen is better and ATL has owned NYM at home. The think a better pick is the under here.

I got a bunch of reasons why the braves should win today. DOn't like that its their first game back after 9 game road trip. They didn't go to a different time zone which is good so they might not be too sluggish. One of worst road teams in baseball vs best home team in bsaeball. Both teams going at it with their Aces, so anyway I am in agreement. I think the braves win a close one.

I totally agree. However, I think the Braves tonight are a good bet.

CIN vs. PIT, STL vs HOU seem to be more tout picks than anything I've seen today. Not too many people are talking about the Braves and Mets even though its on ESPN Baseball Tonight.

Braves have only lost more than 2 in a row twice this season, one being very very early. Not sure if that matters to anyone or not.

I am looking at it, but cannot figure out a pick. I want to tail the Braves again, but they got me over the weekend. Reds and Pirates are another interesting one.

Braves will probably kill them because Mets can't play on the road. Santana might throw a shutout if he is on tonight but bullpen will get blown up if that happens.

Critical game for the Mets. They need the win here to stay in the race. I'm on them.

Santana gives up 3-4 runs first two innings. To much
                                for the Mets to over-come.

The Braves are the best team in the National League in my opinion, and they are definitely built for the playoffs. They have great top of the rotation guys and an excellent bullpen at the back end. There lineup is balanced and they have a few scappers, which should bode well in the playoffs.
