Actually mets won a playoff series in 2006 with almost this exact team, and almost made the world series but lost in game 7 vs the cardinals. That team had wright and reyes..if anything they have improved.

nothing is wrong with the mets, they are just a mediocre ball club is all. In case we missed it remember the collapses the last few yrs in 2nd half of seasons most notably last september

I forgot the Mets did win 1 playoff series with this group, back in 2006. "With almost this exact team".........I don't think so. In fact, only Wright and Reyes are still around from that team. 2 players out of about 30, not sure I am going to count that. I guess we could throw Beltran in there too, but Beltran was healthy and awesome back in 2006, so they aren't really the same person anymore.

Bottom line - The Mets are a heartless, overpaid, overhyped, mediocre group of talent, and nothing more. Hype is really the only thing Mets fans have (a lot like Redskins fans every year for the last decade). There is no substance. No chemistry.
