Pirates have been hitting very well since the all star break..... I think i've made more money on tailing the pirates as home dogs in spot situations and fading them on the road, then i've made off any other team in MLB.

the moneytrain might be over soon, as the pirates have the best group of first and second year players in the majors right now

this year I think there is a pretty good chance the Pirates don't make any or more than 1 or 2 small trades

I don't think they would have a problem parting with Garret Jones for the right offer as he ain't exactly a spring chicken even if this is only his 2nd year... I think they'd deal Doumit if he wasn't on the DL and Tony Sanchez hadn't lost his season to injury in the minors this year
