#15Well, let's hope this isn't one that buries us all. On this one as well. Floyd is still prone to a bad night, so that's one reason why it's not an all-inner (very few are, of course), but Rowland-Smith is terrible. And this coming from someone who likes the Mariners.Comment -

#20Originally posted by No coincidencesAny particular reason?
You are going to be dependent on an ok pitcher versus a not great one to get your outs but then you also are reliant on the White Sox to deliver the runs. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable wagering that amount of my roll on this particular situation. Then again, I'm the first to admit that my following of MLB this year is sporadic so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. I think the play is a good one, but not for that amount of money.Comment -

#22Originally posted by shari91You are not a big bettor as you have stated yourself. To wager 15% of your roll in the hopes that one team outscores another by at least 2 runs is silly imho to begin with. That amount is really more than you should wager in one day TOTAL amongst all your bets if you want to stick around for any length of time.

#23"Take the Florida Marlins for the road win over the Giants.
You have to love Josh Johnson at this price, regardless of venue or who is starting opposite of him.
Johnson is 10-3 with a 1.61 ERA on the year and hasn’t allowed more than two runs in his last 13 starts, during which he’s 7-2 with a 0.79 ERA.
On top of that Johnson has allowed precisely one run over his last 28 road innings.
The Giants will counter with Matt Cain and he’s a stud, but not in the same sense that Johnson is.
Cain has always suffered from a lack of run support and that is evident again this season, where his 8-8 record doesn’t reflect on how well he’s pitched.
I like Johnson to do his thing again and for Cain to wind up on the wrong end of a 2-1 or 1-0 game again.
Take the Marlins for the road win".Comment -
