Okajima is definitely on the downswing of his career and not the pitcher he once was. His stats say it all.

In 08 and 09 Hideki averaged 23.5 Holds, struck out 113 batters in 123 IP, only issued 44 walks and allowed 41 earned runs. This may be new information for you, but players usually sign lucrative multi-year deals after having success. Unfortunately, this often leads to less focus and subsequent suffering stat lines. I like to refer to this as the Mike Lieberthal syndrome. The ole contract year numbers... Sure, the guy has had a really ruff go of it in 2010, but I seriously doubt you should option him to MickeyDee's. He's still rocking a near 1/1 k/ip on his career.
You probably have a better job than McDonald's and I seriously doubt you could post anything near a sub 2.00 WHIP in 38 appearances.

i'm sure not everyone had the privilege of watching, but Jhonny Peralta just validated his place on this list. Swisher just kicked Peralta's single into the corner in right, and Peralta couldn't get past second. if he'd been running hard from the start, he could've had third or at least a chance to consider, but he took forever to get to second.

c'mon dude, you don't get that many hits - why wouldn't you want to run hard when you get them?
