with the latest marlins trade, i can see the issue of retraction potentially being brought back up, due to questionable trades seemingly every offseason
my question is this...if a team does indeed get retracted, then what would happen with their players? would they become free agents or be placed on waivers first? would their contracts be bought out if they weren't claimed on waivers? or would mlb hold some form of draft? if there was a draft, how would the order be determined?
just curious as to what would actually happen as ive never heard a definitive answer on this
