Torre has rings because he had the best players in the game, it was not him.

He was worst manager of all times in St Louis

I watch a good deal of Dodgers games (Dad's a Dodgers fan and who doesn't love listening to Vin Scully?), and it seems like Torre is always doing stupid shit in terms of pinch-hitting or not pinch-hitting for the pitcher. I've even seen him let a reliever hit in a one-run game with the bases loaded...very interesting decisions he's made.

Mo is certainly one of the reasons the Yanks have multiple titles...but certainly not the only one...somebody's got to pitch the first 8 innings and somebody's got to score some runs. Mo doesn't/hasn't/didn't do any of those things...

Torree has still managed to get the Dodgers into the playoffs multiple times since he has been there...(and I'm pretty sure Mo hasn't had anything to do ith that...)

Its always easy to double guess these managers. I am a Cardinals fan and I complain about LaRussa all the time. But when it comes down to it, there isnt that many, if any, managers out there that would do a better job.

I think being a coach or manager is one of the most thankless jobs on the planet. When everything goes right it's the players, when stuff goes wrong you get the blame...Not to say that Joe (like everyone) doesn't make bonehead plays but he's got to deal with player personalities, performance, media. However, he has always been a absolute butcher when it comes to managing his bullpen -

This fact has become much more apparent in the NL, where BP management is a bit more important, also lacking the ability to put the best relief pitcher of All time into the game has shown the flaw off.
