i mean this is as locked as they come...or it seems...

latos hasnt given up more than 7 HITS in his 17 starts this year...in his last 13 he has given up 3 runs once, 2 runs 5 times, 1 run 2 times, and 0 runs 5 times.

karstens has let up 20 ER in his last 33.2 innings = 5.35 ERA

sd is just an all around better team, i honestly see no way that they lose, but who knows, its baseball

im probably going to be taking this for a large amount of money, bol to anyone on it

When I saw this on paper a couple nights ago, I knew I was going to play this, but the odds are way too high for me, I'll pass, or if I play it, it'll be in some parlays. Can't lay -150 or higher ML, or I get fukked up in games.

It's not a lock, but SD has a good probability of winning. The road chalk is awful though. That's the only thing keeping me from betting on SD tomorrow, the steep road chalk.

The injury was faked so Latos could get some time off as stated before. He's 22, and the team is on the record for having him on an inning limit of 180 this year. Also, if you take out his two rough starts in the first month of the year, including one in front of his family in Florida, his road numbers this year are pretty ridiculous...53 2/3 innings, 7 ER (1.17 ERA if my numbers are right). He's also been out of his head in his last 3 starts: 0.44 ERA, 3-0 (team), just under 7 innings-to get to the filthy pen.

Karstens seems to be going in the opposite direction (6.35 ERA, team 1-2), and McCutchen is hurt and may be held out again.

Nothing's a lock, but this should be another strong showing from a very good team this year.

I agree in theory, Houli, but you never know when you're going to get burned by a 3-2 game in Seattle. Boston's at the tail end of a long road trip, and their bats could be non-existent compared to what they would typically be against a sub-par pitcher. Then you'd really feel stupid laying -200 in road chalk.
