Question about baseball props: Value of .5 hit, run
I'm trying to figure out the moneyline value of a .5 hit and a .5 run. Does anyone know?

    Example:

    Fla team total is O4 +100. What would O3.5 be? -130? -140?

Total hits for Phi in the Col-Phi game is 9.5 -110. What would O9 be. -130?

Any guidance is appreciated. I can give you some points if that will help...

    Thanks!

1/2 run or hit is worth .30 cents

Thx Soxwin. What is that based on?

It seems like a 1/2 run would be worth more than a 1/2 hit because going from 3.5 to 4 runs (for example) is a much bigger change than going from 8.5 to 9 hits.

      Am I "off base" here?

it is based on what I have seen in sports books over the years. that's all I can go by. Maybe someone can give you a more official math formula, but that is what I have noticed.
