    Simulation/ System based predictions.
I am not a big fan of simulation based predictions (Accuscore) and system based outcomes. First, I think that they are a tool. To tell me that a team won 55.2% of the time based on 10k simulations is not a prediction but simply a guess based on past performances. Second, I believe that reliance on software as a significant contributor to your own predictions seriously hampers the development of your handicapping skills. These software programs cannot account for the human component of sporting events. This "human factor" is a major influence on outcomes but cannot be fully accounted for in a software program. This is where your handicapping skills are needed and will not develop if you lean heavily on simulations and such. I agree that they can be of assistance but the temptation to simply follow the software becomes difficult to resist. I really would like to see what other people think about programs like Accuscore and how it plays into their picks.
