Question for all you stock gurus out there: How would you chart out a comparison of major world currencies (take these four: EURO, USD, YEN, POUND) vs. gold? I'll give some points if someone can help out with this. I think that gold should be a tremendous buy relatively soon.

The thing that I want to look for here is a confirmation that ALL of those four currencies are going to top out for the LAST two months, and then gold is going to do its inverse thing.

disclaimer: i don't really have a big commerce background, but this is what I know:

currencies are traded against each other, so if one is higher another might be lower... there is no such thing as currencies in a world group and ALL of them topping out. its not the way the economy operates.

in respect of gold, it is a very safe asset, so when there is a lot of uncertainty, everybody buys gold and the price goes up... there is some correlation between world currency prices and gold prices.

finally, it looks like you are looking for some information to predict what is going to happen to the market - the theory is that if that information is available and predictable, it is factored into the price. there are a lot of smarter people than us out there trying to figure this stuff out.

Sorry about no plays today...lately it has been hard to find the time to do this. Yes, it is all fun and feels good to know that I'm helping people make cash, but other duties call at the moment... :/

In regards to your Gold inquiry. After charting it and adding some fib Retracements. Gold is currently oversold, it hit support at the 100% fib level , $1160.80 . Rebounded of that and hit resistance at the next fib level 78.6%, $1184.20 . The RSI is currently under 50 and steadily rising showing a upward trend might be starting. The next resistance level is at $1202.60 . It might be a good place to buy right now if it trades between the 100% and the 78.6% Fib levels for a few days (1160-1184) .

I don't have a clue what you just said....lol....nah. I sort of get you. I see this is your profession, and that explains the technical talk. Give me an email at therber2@gmail.com and we can bump heads on this subject. I have a few more logical reasons for why I just bought gold. We'd probably make a good team with stocks I figure. Those numbers you threw at me...lol..that's all good, but you have to figure in what world currencies are doing, investor psychology, commercials leans, etc. When both angles click you've got a winner, and I hope that's what we've got here. So far up 2 pts.

Thanks Metatron. Well Pitt is such an easy opponent...I made the mistake of betting that a quality team wouldn't put up runs against a very poor team. Other reasons aside; I should have considered this....On the bright side: lesson learned
