emotionalism like this doesn't work in baseball...

in fact it hasn't work lately even in a sport like football, where you think it would help..... like the uconn huskies, cincinnati bengals and redskins have demonstrated lately..

and players are more like to rally around a player than there are an owner that has not been living in NY for the past 5 years or so

Depends on the coach.
Teams almost always take on the personality of there coach,in any sport and at any level..A rah,rah, guy or a us against the world guy will take something like this a long way. A lay back type will not.
