First, Ichiro is batting lead-off while Braun is in the bottom half of NL's line-up. So there is a good chance Ichiro will get at least one more at bat based on that alone. And secondly, NL have 5 reserve outfielders while AL only have 3. So it is probably more likely that Braun gets subbed for earlier than Ichiro. I can see a realistic scenario playing out where Ichiro gets 4 at bats and Braun 2. Ichiro is just a better hitter anyway, NL pitching is weaker overall, and if Price goes 2 innings, at least one of Brauns at bats will be against a left hander which he hasn't been able to hit at all this year. I cant see this being any worse than a push and I am almost positive Ichiro get at least one more at bat than Braun.
