I am a big stat and facts guy, I study the game and read into it everyday. I chose not to bet on the All-Star game this year, but here are some facts for you guys:
- The AL won 13 in a row, if you include the TIE in 2002.
- 40 AL wins, 38 NL wins, 2 ties.
2009 - 7 runs
2008 - 7 runs
2007 - 9 runs
2006 - 5 runs
2005 - 12 runs
2004 - 13 runs
2003 - 13 runs
2002 - 14 runs
2001 - 5 runs
2000 - 9 runs
Starting pitchers:
Jimenez
Price
Based on all this, betting the AL and the UNDER seems like a VERY easy bet. I think betting the AL -1.5 is a great bet with a lot of value, but I have a feeling we will see an OVER, the hitters are amazing, and the pitchers won't risk injury at the most part and some of them are struggling.
Players starting:
Ramirez, SS Ichiro, RF Prado, 2B Jeter, SS Pujols, 1B Cabrera, 1B Howard, DH Hamilton, CF Wright, 3B Guerrero, DH Braun, LF Longoria, 3B Ethier, CF Mauer, C Hart, RF Cano, 2B Molina, C Crawford, LF Jimenez, SP Price, SP
I will just sit with a beer and have fun, gl everyone.
