The Reds are fine. Cardinals have 3 starting pitchers right now. 2 on the DL and some other injuries costing them as well. Look for both teams to make an upgrade in the next couple weeks. Jockety is as good as it comes to making deals and would imagine the Cardinals to make some kind of deal as well.

Thats legal theft right now. San Diego will come plummeting back to Earth in the second half faster than you can say "Giants win".

Agree on the Padres.but they do have #1 good pitching-#2 own the Giants-so Rockies or Dodgers are it then.

Reds aren't going anywhere. Too many games against pirates stros cubs and crew to have a long slide. Cards aren't playing consistent enough to pull away.

Reds will be there on top of their division at the end. they just had a rough time against a better team who needed to win

The Reds just ran into some bad luck this past weekend and a team who knows how to pull it out when they have to.

In their division, they have a chance. Just play good, fundamental baseball.

I believe the Reds have decent enough pitching, and a nice mix of solid veterans, with some good young talent, to stay afloat in the Central.

It will be very interesting to see what Edinson Volquez does when he returns. He could allow them to deal one of their young pitchers and acquire a quality bat for the stretch run.

It's a shame Homer Bailey isn't healthy - he would make the most sense in a trade as opposed to having to deal either Cueto, Leake, or Wood. Obviously Chapman's not going anywhere, either.

Couldn't see them trading Bailey. He has a young arm that has very little wear and tear. They are being over protective of him because they have had the luxury of some good spot starters. He is a better pitcher than Wood is. With Volquez and Chapman down the stretch, this team is poised to be a top contender in the National League. They could use one more consistent bat in the outfield or off the bench and a solid middle reliever, but you can never have too much starting pitching.
