Bob Sheppard Yankee Announcer died at 99
Guy was legendary at Yankee Stadium...but Derek Jeter said as long as he's a Yankee Bob Sheppard will be the only person who announces him at the plate

NY had 2 of the best in John Condon at the Garden and Bob Sheppard.

that was John Facenda, Through his work with NFL Films, Facenda was known by many NFL fans as "The Voice of God."

But he was a great one, was he working till the very end?

Until 2007. I read that a recording of him announcing Jeter is played before each at bat.
