    TEXAS just does'nt get it
The rangers have missed ample opportunities to put the Angels away, and are blowing it. Being an angels fan I'm loving this, were staying close, and I'm sure wi'll get a big name bat before it's all overwith (at least I hope) As bad as were playing to still be in striking range is a plus.

How could they lose to Bal, when they had a big lead going into the 9th? They need bullpen help and not another starting pitcher.

Texas getting Lee may not have helped the Angels chances this year but by giving up Smoak and Lawson Texas has traded away what may have been their future two and three hitters. Huge price to pay for the chance of making a deep run into the playoffs this year.

Lee helps once every 5 games. He can't pitch every game in the playoffs.... It'll definitely help them, but with their bullpen... I just can't see them getting too far

Angels won't make a big move as more than likely they still wouldn't win the division even with Prince Fielder, they are already behind the Ranges and the Rangers just got the best available pitcher.

The Rangers' bullpen really let the down last night. The night before the offense had the bases loaded in the 5th with no outs and did not score. Also on Thursday Tommy Hanson left the 4-0 game with 2 on and no outs. The Rangers bullpen still has the #7 bullpen ERA in the league.

If Texas wants to take the division they have to sweep or at least win the series against those horrible teams like the O's.

They will still take the division IMO, but they have to stop to waste opportunities, their 2nd half schedule is tough shit.

Texas certainly does have a tough 2nd half. The addition of Cliff Lee does help by sending a starter (Harden, Lewis, Beltre, Nippert) permanently to the bullpen. This should strengthen the bullpen so that the don't see the train that happened last night.
