The Blue Jays and Red Sox go at Game 2 after the Sox spanked Ricky Romero and the Jays last night 14-3. The interesting part is the Sox have completley owned the Jays this year winning 6 of 7 and going 4-0 in Toronto. John Lackey will take the hill but he hasn't exactly been what the Sox thought they were paying for. Despite a 4.40 ERA he has still managed to 9-4 though. You have to think the ERA will continue to sink and since his last start in May the Sox are 5-3 in his starts behind a 3.71 ERA in those starts. Lackey won't mind starting in Toronto, since 2007 he has a 1.93 ERA in his two starts there. The Sox right now are providing value in my mind with all the injuries. They have always been a team that will grind out at bats and put together rallies and even without Ellsbury, Martinez, and Pedroia they have still put up some runs. After a hot start the Jays are on the decline again. This seems to happen every year and right now they are on a 12-22 run. Morrow has been great at home this year but Boston did hammer him earlier this year. Right now the Jays shouldn't be favored against anyone, especially a 50 win team. The decline will continue for the Jays while the Sox continue to heat up. They are 31-15 run right now.
Boston +107 for 1 unit
