he isn't signing anywhere. he isn't a free agent. It is a trade.

They have to trade prospects to get him, which won't happen. Why rent the guy for a couple of months when they can buy him outright at the end of the season when he's a free agent? If he goes anywhere it's probably going to be Minnesota or the Mets. Minnesota has a No 1 catcher in their system that will have a tough time seeing the field because of Joe Maurer so it's a huge chip that Seattle needs on their team.

Pavy could be....if there's one guy I would like to see on the Yankees it's Ichiro. That dude would be a legend in New York, and after suffering in Seattle he deserves a shot at the post-season.

You are correct. That's the guy they want and need.

I heard the Mets don't want to include Niese or Ike Davis in a trade. They probably don't have the necessary chips without including one of those guys. Mejia isn't going to get it done.

If they are loking for a trade with the Yanks...they should trade all the middle relief for Lee...they have nothing going on there!!

Yanks are possibly going to offer Montero...who's a solid prospect, but I can't see the Yankees making the deal without a long-term contract with Lee as it would be a waste for another left-hander for 3 months, as with CC and Pettite they really don't need him. But, if it's a game of keepaway...it's kind of expensive.

lol...now there's a theory...unfortunately I don't think Lee lays down for anybody. Something tells me he would like to get a piece of the Phillies in the post-season....problem is the Phillies aren't cooperating

Burnett won't go anywhere because of the contract he's toting. It could be the Yankees are positioning themselves for the retirement of Andy Pettite who's been talking about it for the past 3 years. It gives the Yanks an extra arm if someone get's hurt, and it's kind of shocking that Burnett and CC have both stayed healthy for almost 2 straight years. Yanks have been incredibly lucky this year because with all the injuries throwing guys like Pena, Cervelli, and Thames on the field and still having the best record in baseball is a good sign. Couple that with Nick Swisher having an all-star season and the Red Sox hurting, the moons seem to be aligned.

I don't think it's a done deal yet...the Yanks went through this when everyone wanted Joba a few years ago. In the end Minnesota has a new stadium and a real shot this year, Lee would fit there as well and Seattle needs a catcher prospect for sure
