Well, I hope everyone had a profitable fourth of july. I went 1-1 thanks to Phillies pitching being horrible. The twins game did go over which helped out there. My non post plays I did ok on. The rays handled their buisness and the angels covered the run line. I did lost on San Francisco though. So overall I went 3-2 so it was profitable. Hope everyone enjoyed Barbeque and fireworks yesterday. Here in South Florida it rained all day and night so I had to go to fireworks last night in the rain which sucked. O.K lets win some money today
Oakland A's +1.5 (-120) over the New York Yankees.
I have been posting plays on here for over a month and not once have I picked the yankees. The juice is usually way to high for me. Today there really isnt a lot of games that i like today so when i first looked at the line I was going roll with the Yankees. Then I started digging into the game some and decided to go the other way. Ben Sheets is 3-7 with a 4.98 era this season, but you have to figure he is going snap out of this funk sooner or later. Vasquez on the other hand is slumping also. He is 0-2 with a 4.00 era his last two starts. He is 6-7 with a 5.11 era over the season. The A's are playing much better and just went 4-2 on the road trip and now be going for their 4th straight home win. They have been hitting the ball better and should see help from the struggling Vazquez. I don't think Posada will be playing either. He is listed as day to day, but I see no reason starting him on the first game of a long road cross country roadtrip. I think Oakland will put up a lot of runs in this game, and honestly I was consider taking them to win straight out here being at home, but decided to go with this option consider the juice is not that bad.
Chicago White Sox -145 over the Los Angeles Angels
This is a game that if you look at it outside the box, you would say this juice is to high and the angels are the play here. Once again I looked at stats and like to go off last starts. Floyd has not pitched well starting the season. He is 3-7 with 4.66 era this season. The key for me is that is he 1-1 with a 1.26 era over the last 5 starts. As you can see he didn't get much run support in that span. Kazmir on the other hand is 7-7 but in his last start gave up 5 runs and 6 hits in under five innings and before that rocked and only last a little over 3. He will be going into Chicago where the Sox are feeling good coming home off a big road win against Texas. It looks like Quentin and Ramierez are starting to hit which could spell trouble for the A.L central. The Angels had a nice win yesterday against K.C, but that was at home and against K.C. The night before they were almost no hit with Bruce Chen pitching.
These are my only two plays. I thought about going with Tampa but these games are a pickem in my eyes. Some tough games today.. Good luck to all.
