Well yesterday was bad. Seems everything I took or bet on lost or got crushed. The only bright spot was the New York Mets who decided to even make that close after starting off 3-0. That was one of those days. I went 1-2 on my posted picks and even my side wagers I took I just could not pull out of my butt. Toronto's offense look bad again. The White sox were looking good until they middle innings where Peavy gave out and the bullpen was crushed. Then they gave me a little teaser by scoring 5 to get back to 1 but then decided that would be all they get. I would rather my team just get demolished then giving me a teaser like that and not winning. Espically here on the east coast where games are late, I would rather just go to bed. Well its a new day and a new month so lets start it off right today.
Texas Rangers +103 over the Los Angeles Angels
The rangers are the suprise of the west, but not really. They have always had the power and hitting to contend in the west but their pitching has always fallen short. This year there pitching looks to be getting on track and C.J Wilson is one of those reasons. This year he is 6-3 with a 3.35 era but more importantly to me, in his last five starts hes undeafeated going 3-0 with a 3.09 era. He will be going up against the leagues top strike out pitcher though in J. Weaver who has 118 strikouts and is 7-3 with a 3.01 era. I think the key to this game is the fact that Vlad and Josh Hamilton are on a tear this month or last month actually.Hamilton in his career is 7-18 off of Weaver so its a good matchup for him. I like Texas at this plus price here to keep building on that lead in the American League West.
Colorado Rockies -145 over the San Francisco Giants
The Rockies looked bad yesterday at San Diego and that is a fact. I havent seen them play that badly in a while. Now they go to their friendly home to open a series against San Francisco. San Francisco has been in a major slump and I am fading them until they can prove me otherwise. They have lost 5 straight games. They will look to top prospect Madision Bumgarner to end that his streak. This will be his second major league start and he gave up 4 runs over 7 innings. The key to this game is where the game is played. Aaron Cook is horrible on the road this season while being at home this year he is 3-0 with a 1.99 era. I don't feel that the giants can score more then 3-4 runs in this game with their struggling offense. That means Colorado doesn't have to score much to win this game. I usually don't take run lines but this one is one i might consider.

I dont like a lot of games today but i feel good about these two. I hope we all do well today. Here in Florida they started the new poker law with new limits and new hours so i am off to the Palm beach kennel club to get some early action. Anyone close should join me.

Good luck today guys lets start month off right
