Yesterday, I got back on track going 2-1. It is funny, I am in the 5000 point shootout which is just totals in baseball. I usually never play totals and usually only bet ml's and rl's and in that contest i have won 9 in a row and now something like 59-40 over the contest. Maybe I should just bet totals. Anyways Latos pitched another gem for me yesterday and the mets continue their dominace over the American League. The Cardinals once again showed me why I don't bet on them as they got pounded by the Kansas City Royals. They are not the team that most of us thought they would be. They have great pitching and some days your pitchers have off days, but their hitting is so hit or miss. I am done with them until they can prove me otherwise. Ok lets get on with the Monday games which today is actually nice consider that we have more then three games to choose from.
New York Mets -120 over the Florida Marlins in Puerto Rico
The New York Mets continue to win with their no name pitching staff. Neise yesterday continue his hot streak and today R.A Dicky who is 6-0 with a 2.33 era will take his knuckleball and head to Puerto Rico. This will be a homecoming for a lot of the mets who are really energized about this series in their home country. Nolasico on the other hand stuggled his last couple starts but espically in this no deceision against the Baltimore Oreos where he was shelled for four runs in the second inning alone. The Mets want this series to move into first place and try to get a grip on this wide open National League east before the all star break.
Arizona Diamonbacks +1.5 (-140) over the St. Louis Cardinals.
As I said in my opening statment I am not betting on the Cardinals anymore. So I decided to go against them in this game. I like the way Arizona has played even though their record has not showed it the last few games. I do not like how the Cardinals have played. Carpenter is a beast and will limit Arizona to a run or two. I think Haren will do the same here though. I see this being like a game that Carpenter pitched in Toronto on his last start where ST Louis scored in the 9th to win 1-0. Hopefully Arizona can get a couple early since their bullpen scares me. Haren can build a high pitched count but when he is throwing strikes he can be deadly.
Colorado Rockies -1.5 (120) over the San Diego Padres
I have been riding the Jimeniez train all year and i am going do it again. San Diego just came off a Florida east coast swing and are back home. Those trips are usually draining to a team that does not get an off day in between. Jimenez struggled his last start giving up 6 runs in just over 5 innings. I like him to bounce back here. This year he is 2-0 against San Diego and he has pitched 13 innings and struck out 20 against them. He has pitched well on the road and the padres have scored the third fewest runs in the National League you add it all up to a Colorado win easily on the road.
Good luck to you all today on whatever you decide
lets start the week off good

i don't like that arizona play, never good to bet against a team just because you can't seem to win with them.
