    Making a business
Ok so I have been around a little in the past. I have a real job so it sometimes causes problems posting every day. I know I am a good capper but I have horrible money management. I am going to try and treat it like a business(instead of opening a business, less overhead, etc.) I will keep a monthly total. My goal is to pick 3 plays a day and hit 66% or 2-1 overall for the month. I don't use stats or systems(they always hit for a little bit then fail). I just pick games that I have a feeling will hit. The old intuition plays.

I am starting with $300 and putting $100 on each play. Today the games I feel will hit are:

    Niese/ NYM -107

Guthrie/ Bal -118 It is always scary playing the O's. They are one of the few teams that never seem to plate runs on however many opportunities.

    Lopez/Davis over 9.5

GL with your plays gents. I hope I can keep posting on this forum and sharing my thoughts and picks with ya'll for as long as I can.

good luck man... exactly how it should be done, very smart treating it like a side business

one question... did you say you are starting with 300 total and your first three plays are for 100 each??

if so, you have everything worked out great except money management.... you will have to go 3 - 0 for about a week just to make sure you last a while...

any one bet shouldnt exceed more than 5 % of your roll... you can push it maybe to 10 % but 33% on your first three picks and A.I. that definitely will lead to not lasting long...

work it out, I'd like to see this thread around for a while and follow you

I think he has the ability to reload so it is not really betting 33% of BR.

if you just pick games you think will win without any reasearch on angles etc how does that make you a capper? thats the way my wife picks a game

Good luck bruh. It can be done. I started with a 300 dollar bet with a 300 dollar bankroll. Money management, anger management and patience are the keys. If you're having a bad day, don't force a pick just because you're down if it doesn't stand out to you. I wake up at 8am everday and go to the sportsbook to study even if there are no games until 4pm. Just like a 9to5 only it's a 9 to 9. Keep learning

Wow Tejada cleaned it up for them in the 8th. I still should have went with Mil but I still got 2-1. Thanks for the kind words guys. And yes I just think about the games and use intuition to make my picks. I have tried to use stats but for me they are always too sharp for the lines anyway.

I still can't believe how hit dead the ari/tb game was. Only a few strike outs and almost as many walks as strike outs but still then you hit the ball at the defense over and over again that spells under no mater how you look at it. Weekends are always the toughest for me but I will take the .8 units or whatever it is. Looking at tomorrow won't post until around 2pm or so.

I hope ya'll made some money today. Have a good day guys. Heading over to my girlfriend's place for some BBQ!!

you bank roll needs to be bigger or your plays need to be for less. General rule would be for every $20 you bet should equal $1000 in your bankroll. Playing $100 a play with a $300 bankroll will bust you out in a week guaranteed. You said your problem is bad money management, well your starting off with bad money management.

I know it's bad money management but I only feel comfortable putting in $300 to gamble with. I can't bet just $20 a play. I feel like it's not worth my time or mental stress. I know it is dangerous but I need to give it a shot. I will stay at $100 a bet until I get to $2000 or go broke.

suite yourself. We all tried to help you and you still want to do things your way. I hope you go on a run because that will be the only thing that will save you.

P.s.- I thought you were going to treat it like a business? You know your doing something wrong and you are still going to do it? Good thing I'm not in business with you.

Better bankroll management and a business attitude will likely pay dividends.
