Today is a great day in Baseball. I love Saturdays because you have a combination of day and night games. Gives me something to do during the day, while the Girlfriend goes shopping. Yesterday, We got back on track with a 2-0 day.I did however lose my upset special with the Pirates. The White Sox stayed on fire, while the cubs will be looking to trade Zambrano soon. The Phillies offense roared to the over and the Brewers made a come back to pound Seattle. I Thought the pirates had a chance, but giving up 7 runs in one inning will pretty much do it for any team. So lets continue on today and see what happens
New York Mets -139 over the Minnesota Twins
Johan will be facing his former team today, the one that made him what he is today. He has pitched well of recent, just not the Santana that we all know from before. It seems when he pitches that the mets just don't give him the run support or that they blow a lead late. That was what was constantly happeing to him last year. He has been getting in trouble with his pitch count and not getting deep into games. That should change today, espically with the added intensity he will pitch with against his former teammates. Hopefully his rape charge won't have anything to do with his pitching today.
Milwaukee Brewers -133 over the Seattle Mariners.
I really thought this line would be higher. If you have read my posts, you know I don't be a lot of stats, but a few i do like to go with. One of the most important to me is streaks. Milwaukee has won 5 in a row and trying to make a run at St. Louis before the All star break. They have been playing great baseball and swept Minnesota and now take on another foe in Seattle that they should sweep. They are building confiendence as they go. Seattle is just bad at the plate. They can't seem to hit even with key accuisitions over last offseason. One of the bright spots has been their pitching though. Today they get fister back off the Dl. He has been been good this season, but will probably come back a little rusty today. Wolf pitched well his last outing and has been getting better along the season. I really thought this game should be -160 so getting it for this price is value I believe.
Detroit Tigers and the Atlanta Braves over 9.5
The Atlanta braves have the best home record in the National League but Kwakami is 0-9. I am having flashbacks of a old mets pitcher Anothy Young who lost 21 straight even though he pitched well. Kawakami has not pitched well and has the tendoncy to get shell. I think today will be no different. Look for the braves to give up 5-7 runs today. Detroit can hit the ball and today Scherzer takes the mound. He has pitchd well his last three starts and having a 3.46 era over those games. I do feel this game being in Atlanta, that they will get to him for 4-5 runs. This game should easily cover the over.
    Good luck to all today
    Upset pick of the day
