Yesterday was a better day going 2-1. I was really close to going 3-0 if Seattle wouldn't leave a million runners on base. Really with the bases loaded in the 10th and only one out, you have to get that winning run in. Two strikeouts in a row and I knew the game was over and they would lose. That is Seattle though. That is why they are in last place and very underachieving team.. That is the thing about giving a price to a team with a great pitcher that isnt a very good team. If that pitcher goes out your price goes way down, but you are still locked in to that price. Well on to the good. The Cleveland game easily went over and Houston pounded Cain. I wasn't expecting that, but I will take it. Ok lets get to todays games and win some money.
Chicago White Sox -135 over the Chicago Cubs
Wow what a road trip for the Chicago Cubs. No rest for the weary I guess. You go to Seattle and play an extra inning game and then get on a plane fly back home and have to play a day game. Why would the league schedule a Seattle trip and a day game the next day? The cubs pulled won out of the butt yesterday to get a win in Seattle. The White Sox have won nine in a row and are on fire after sweeping the Atlanta Braves. They are pitching well. Quentan is starting to hit and they are playing well as a team. Peavy on the mound today against a resurging Zambrano. I like Peavy and the White Sox to continue with their winning streak in a lower scoring game. Look for Zambrano to pitch well against the cross town rivals but end up on the losing side.
Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 (-140) over the Toronto Blue Jays
Not much to say here about this game besides for the homecoming of Holliday. How will he react to going back to the place he spent his career. I think he will be outstanding tonight. The Blue jays offense struggled against the Cardinals but did get 5 yesterday. The Phillies kick started their offense against Cleveland and starting getting it together and started scoring runs. I love the pitching matchup in this game for the Phillies. I do think Toronto will take 2 of 3 here, but this will be the game they lose. I wouldnt get suprised if Toronto gets shut out in this game. Look for a great pitching homecoming from Holiday.
Milwaukee Brewers -155 over the Seattle Mariners.
Don't look now but the Milwaukee Brewers are starting to play this game called baseball. They swept a very good team in the Minnesota Twins and really they looked good doing it. Today they put Bush on the mound to try to keep the momentum going. I was thinking this was a low number for them to be at home but Bush is not a very good pitcher. Good think Seattle is bringing a pitcher who has pitched even worse. Look for a shoot out here. When in a shootout take the team that can score. Milwaukee can put up the numbers and Seattle can not. That is the difference here. Take Seattle and the over
