Carmona has pitched extremely well. He has a 2.48 ERA in his last 4 starts...but is only 2-2. He has won his last 2 starts though. He's also pitched to 4 straight unders (8-5 on the unders this season). Blanton is going the other direction. He gave up just 3 runs over 6 in his last start...but in his last 5 starts, he has an ERA of 8.97 and the Phillies are 1-4 in those starts. He's also pitched in 4 straight overs (the over is 5-3 on the season). But...Blanton is -155? Just like the Rays. The name of the team makes them such high favs being at home even though there is no distinct advantage for them to be such big favs. The Phillies are 5-5 in their last 10 while the Indians are 3-7. Nobody is hot, so you have to take the better pitcher at a great price.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the Phils tomorrow...they could easily complete the sweep and then go on to ring out 7-8 wins in a row. A walk-off HR can give a team a lift...as well as getting their man J-Roll back in the lineup.
